Time Flies! 02/25/2010
Yes it does! It has been seven weeks since my second daughter was born! Jenna Poppy Marie was born on December 27, 2009 after only two hours of labor! She came so quickly that the midwife missed her birth by only a few seconds. Everything went well though, and she was caught by her daddy as I was standing in the bath tub. Yup, we didn't even get to use the birth pool. Ha ha! Anyways, now that we have all settled down into a more comfortable routine I am able to give a little more attention to my doula work again. ~ Peace and Love ~ Almost ready... 12/13/2009
Well, I finally received all the birth supplies. I was starting to get worried as it seemed to be taking forever for some backorder items. Right now I am waiting for my "nesting" urge to kick in so that I can get my house in better shape than it is, but honestly, I am grateful for any day where I have enough energy to move. I feel HUGE! I can see why some mamas get to the point where they just want to call it quits in their pregnancies. . . I'm almost there ;P But, now that my school semester is over and the holidays are just around the corner, I think I can finally relax and enjoy these last few weeks spending time with loved ones and just knowing my baby is safe inside me. Its these last few weeks that I find to be so magical. *pause for nostalgic sigh* By the way, I still have the desire to do a video blog entry on basic supplies and setup for a home waterbirth, so I better get that done soon. 35 weeks already? 11/22/2009
Where does the time fly? I haven't even ordered my own birth supplies yet. Sheesh! I would like to make a quick video to post on home birth and water birth supplies once I get that order in. O.K. I'll quite talking about it and go do that right now... Swimming is good. 11/05/2009
I forgot to mention that we are expecting our third child and I am almost eight months along. Well, anyways, that's the case and lately I have been in an incredible amount of pain. So today, on a whim, I took Maya with me to a local community center and we went swimming. Oh, it felt so nice! The water was nice and warm and we were the only two there besides the lifegaurds enjoying the pool. I am a huge advocate for water therapy during pregnancy and will definately be taking advantage of that swimming pool more often. Hello! 11/04/2009
OK, I've never been a good Blogger but I hope to do better this time around. First of all thank you for visiting my website! My main goal for this blog is to share my thoughts on things I find interesting and relative to childbirth in this day and age. I have learned a lot in the few short years I have been a mother, doula, Midwife Assisant, and soon to be nursing student, and my perspective on things are continuously changing as I learn more and gain new experiences. I'm more likely to keep this blog casual, so you'll find lots of snippets about my family and life happenings. Until next time! |
